Accessibility Statement
Last updated: May 2026
Sol Holistic Healing is committed to making our website and our practice accessible to everyone — including clients with visual, hearing, motor, or cognitive differences, and clients whose needs change with age. Accessibility isn't a feature we added at the end. It shaped how this site was built and how this practice runs.
Our Commitment
We've designed this website with the following principles in mind:
-
Text that's large enough to read comfortably
-
Strong color contrast between text and background
-
Clear, predictable navigation that doesn't rely on memory
-
Plain language, with technical terms explained the first time they appear
-
A prominent phone number on every page, because many of our clients prefer to call
-
Keyboard navigation for clients who don't use a mouse
-
Descriptive alt text on images for clients using screen readers
-
Forms with clearly labeled fields and generous tap targets
The Standard We're Working Toward
We aim for compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA — the international standard for web accessibility. We review the site regularly and make improvements as we identify them.
We're honest about this: accessibility is ongoing work, not a finish line. If something on this site doesn't work well for you, we want to know.
Accessibility at the Practice
The practice is located at 224 W. Middle Street in downtown Chelsea, Michigan. If you have specific accessibility needs for your visit — mobility considerations, sensory considerations, language preferences, or anything else — please call ahead. We'll do our best to make your visit as comfortable as possible, and if there's anything we can't accommodate, we'd rather tell you honestly before you make the trip.
Accommodations we can offer:
-
Pacing. Sessions are unhurried by default. We don't run on a tight clock, and we can move slower if that's what your body needs.
-
Communication. We can write things down, repeat information, or send a follow-up summary by email or mail if that's easier than remembering everything from a conversation.
-
Companions. You are welcome to bring a family member, caregiver, or trusted friend to your appointment — to sit in on the intake conversation, to wait in the front room, or whatever feels right for you.
-
Forms. If filling out intake paperwork on your own is difficult, we're happy to go through it together at your first visit.
-
Quiet environment. The practice space is calm, low-light, and free of strong scents. If you have additional sensory sensitivities, let us know in advance.
Help Us Improve
If you encountered something on this website that didn't work well — a page that was hard to read, a form that was hard to use, a button that didn't respond, an image without a description — please tell us. We take that feedback seriously, and we'll fix what we can.
